I am not sure how many of your have heard of the significance of seeing 11:11 a lot or 1111 or basically a lot of 1’s throughout your day…. every day. I had the opportunity to witness this firsthand for the first time a few years ago, and it ended up changing my life.

I was in a bad rut about 2-3 year ago with no end in sight. I was unemployed for about a year, working some random jobs here and there. I was about to turn 30 and I was still living at home with my parents, which was weighing heavily on me as well. The anxiety started to build as the days passed by and I started to contemplate changing careers or even moving across country to “figure it out”. While all of this was going on, I started to notice something interesting. I was seeing the number 1 everywhere. Every time I were to look at a clock or my phone it was either 11:11 or 1:11. I started to notice it more and more which started to bug me out enough to where I googled what this might actually mean.

While researching what all of this meant, I came across several definitions that raised my eyebrows a bit. I read that it is a trigger into one’s self-conscious. I also read that it is a sudden awakening where reality is never the same. Aside from those reasons, this one stood out to me the most. It was a wake-up call, a sense of clarity, and a time to stop and look for a vision or ask for help in a specific area of your life.

PERFECT! This is exactly what I stated to do every time I started seeing 11:11.

After a few weeks to a month of seeing the 11:11 and thinking of a bigger meaning behind it, something happened. I started to change my way of thinking, I started to think more on a positive level with my current situation. I thought about how I can change and how I can make myself and my situation better. Today, I am living in California, I have a great job, my own apartment, and I can’t complain for one second. After aspects of my life started to change for the better, I stopped seeing the 11:11 as often, but I still realize how it helped me in my life and now know what to do the next time it starts to happen again.
