The Nevada cemetery is home to over three hundred deceased Tonopah residents. The town has seen its fair share of tragedy over the years. The Tonopah plague caused the deaths of thirty people over the winter of 1901 leading into 1902. The plague caused a mass panic in the town creating a mass exodus to neighboring cities. The cause of the plague is unknown to this day. The cemetery also contains fourteen bodies who died tragically in the Tonopah-Belmont mine fire which occurred on February 23rd, 1911. Due to continued mining, the cemetery closed its gates in 1911.
With the motel being in such close proximity to the cemetery it is of no surprise that alleged paranormal activity has been observed within the motel. Everyone’s favorite paranormal team, The Ghost Adventures Crew, visited the motel where they were able to capture footage of one of the clown moving its hand on its own. Being featured on the show caused a boom in popularity for the motel bringing in ghost enthusiasts from around the world hoping to have their own terrifying clown experience. As for Bob, at the age of 79 he ready to hand over the keys to the infamous motel to spend time with his wife, five daughters, and fourteen grandchildren. If you have the cash and the courage you can pick up your very own haunted clown motel today.
